Popuphood incubates unique and independent retail tenants in order to catalyze local economic development.
We are rethinking the role retail plays in local community development. Through cross sector partnerships we are committed to lowering the barriers to entry for creative entrepreneurs and small businesses interested in opening a brick and mortar shop. Our Pop-up to Permanent Program connects you and your business with opportunities, spaces, and events to test out new concepts, locations, or marketing, to realize your vision and grow your business.
Our clients are property owners looking for a unique vision. We look for business that align with our mission of a hyper-local approach to community building. As a social venture, we measure our collective impact on the triple bottom line: people, planet, and profit.
Cities work with us to develop business friendly programs to support micro-, nano-, and small businesses entrepreneurs. We have designed projects of various scales in multiple districts, downtowns, and plazas as part of a programmatic approach to local economic development and placemaking. Popuphood strongly encourages people of color, women, LGBTQ, and disabled candidates to apply.
