The City of Hayward and Popuphood present Hayward's first Small Business Week in partnership with Working Solutions to launch Popuphood's Pop-up to Permanent Program.
Panelists includethe Small Business Administration (SBA), Kiva, Working Solutions, the Alameda County Small Business Development Center (ACSBDC), and Nav. Additionally,Square will be on hand with goody bags and information about their tools to help small businesses grow. We are excited toshowcase our partners to provide technical business and financial resources for small businesses retail to celebrate the business-friendly ecosystem in Hayward, a city on the rise! Complimentary light fare and beverages will be offered to enjoy before and after our Panel in Hayward's charming historic downtown.
Our event co-sponsor, Working Solutions, provides affordable microloans, customized business consulting, and community connections for entrepreneurs in the Bay Area to start and grow thriving local businesses. They offer both capital (loans from $5,000-$50,000) and free comprehensive business consulting to their borrowers. Working Solutions does not require a minimum credit score and is committed to serving early-stage businesses, including start-ups.
As part of the Northern California SBDC network, the Alameda County Small Business Development Center (ACSBDC) works hands-on with entrepreneurs to address challenges, seize opportunities and grow our clients’ bottom line. The staff of 18 business advisors assists clients with specialties including raising capital, marketing, operations, business planning, strategy and many other areas. Our services are provided at no cost to our clients.Our SBDC was awarded “Top Center” in the NorCal Region in 2016. We assisted 550 entrepreneurs to raise over $30 million for their companies, and create or save 437 jobs.
